When speaking to people about places to relocate I from time to time run across someone who is worried about Chemtrails. If you are not familiar with the term it is what some people label the condensation trail (contrails) of airplanes that supposedly hang around longer than they have in the past. The common claim is that these Chemtrails are a plan by the US and other NATO countries to control the weather as evidenced by documents such as the one put out by the US Air Force in 1996 entitled “Weather as a Force Multiplier: Owning the Weather in 2025”. Also, there has been much discussion by Council on Foreign Relations, US Department of Energy, The Royal Society and many such other groups that one solution to global warming would be using Stratospheric Sulfate Aerosols to create a global dimming effect.

Indeed, having such organizations looking into things like militarizing the weather and blocking the sun is very unnerving. Although there is no admission that there are any such programs are currently being deployed anyone familiar with the history of secret government experimentation on the population could put it in the realm of possibility that these techniques are being utilized today.

When determining how you could escape the reach of any type of bad effects that such a program would have it is important to determine what exactly it is that you would like to avoid. Many people claim that the trails that you can see very often coming from planes and lingering in the sky contain Aluminum, Barium and other such chemicals which are causing increases in things like Alzheimer’s. There has in fact been no evidence to support this claim. When looking closely at the “tests” that have been done showing an increase in Aluminum and Barium they have all been done very poorly and in an unscientific manner. In reality, the word “Chemtrail” is a completely unscientific term and is more technically termed “persistent contrail” and as you can see from this news clip from 1980, not a new phenomena (). There are tons of reports and pictures of persistent contrails since early in the 20th century. The persistence and spreading of a contrail is dependent on many things such as humidity and elevation and the persistency of some of them have been noted in the definition of contrails.

If the US government was dumping aluminum in the air there would be no way of covering it up. There are countless scientists all over the world who study all the aspects of the weather on a daily basis and if there were even a slight increase in aluminum in the atmosphere it would be cause for a worldwide upheaval. The number of people that would have to be involved in such a conspiracy would have to astronomical.

However, knowing that the indiscriminate spraying of the entire planet is not yet in the works does not mean that we are off the hook. Other weather modification tactics have been used in the past and are being perfected as we speak. All major governments in the world have cloud seeding technology and use it quite regularly. Cloud seeding is a process where you can disburse substances (specifically silver iodide and dry ice) into cloud in order to increase or decrease precipitation. China currently has the largest cloud seeding system in the world and regularly promotes rain in arid regions. The US military was the first to use the technology for weaponized purposes during the Vietnam war with Operation Popeye in which the US induced a monsoon which flooded the Ho Chi Minh Trail. Since the war the US as well as most other countries have signed a treaty to not use weather weapons but I think it is reasonable to assume that during any large scale war this treaty would go out the window. There is also a huge amount of talk amongst academics to use these crazy tactics to combat global warming. In fact the technologies to go about doing this have already been invented an patented. If the people that are testing the danger of using such chemicals on the environment are using the same level of science that has brought them to their conclusion on anthropogenic global warming then we are in big trouble indeed.

In short there is no need to try to avoid any sort of indiscriminate spraying being done throughout the world. If you are worried about air pollutants that cause breathing and chest problems your best bet would be to avoid highly populated areas wherever they are in the world. The other prospects of geoengineering and weather weapons are quite dangerous and should be kept an eye on. The only way to lower your risk of being effected by such programs is to keep yourself away from NATO nations and their targets.
